New 2 Acre Warm Edge Spacer Production Site in Wigan

As part of our strategy to become a world leader in warm edge spacer market, we've purchased a new 2-acre production site in Wigan – the location previously occupied by Global Glass.


This site will go through an extensive reconstruction to provide further expansion in warm edge spacer production; development of our Technical Centre and EN1279 test facilities, as well as enhanced facilities for the growing production team.

Growing Demand for Warm Edge Spacers 

 

We anticipate an increasing demand for our energy efficient product portfolio which now includes 338 products just in the Thermobar range and a growing Thermoflex and Thermoflex Dual Seal range. The current UK consultation document suggests revisions to Document L may result in the requirement for triple glazing in new buildings. This means a significant increase in the requirement for premium warm edge products such as ours. The plan is to automate as much of our production as possible to maximise output.

Larger Trucks to Accommodate Larger Orders

We have just purchased a 31ft. truck which is the first to be upgraded to allow the transport of a greater volume of IG components to accommodate larger orders on extended delivery routes. This follows a multitude of changes to our infrastructure which also includes Paperless Order Processing.
