Up to 80% of energy loss through a window occurs at its edge

Innovation in Energy Efficient Components for Glazing Units

Reduce Energy Bills with High Performance Glazing Units

Reduce Heat Loss by up to 94% at the Window Edge

A Thermoflex High Performance Unit

The below image shows a superior technology Thermoflex insulated glass sealed unit designed to minimise energy loss through your windows. Triple and even quadruple glazing systems are also available.

It is a high performance double glazing unit that has been designed with an emphasis on achieving gas-tight and structurally sound glazing incorporating warm edge technology.

All components in a high performance Thermoflex Warm Edge insulated glass sealed unit are to be extensively tested and comply with Euro Norm (EN) 1279 standards.

Thermoflex Warm Edge Spacer

Used to create the airspace within an insulated glass sealed unit, spacer bar also helps to maintain its structural integrity. Thermoflex warm edge spacer is a pre-desiccated flexible foamed spacer system with a gas diffusion barrier to minimise gas loss from the edge of the unit. The composition of Thermoflex ensures that the unit is structurally sound while helping to reduce the heat loss at the edge of the glazing unit. A Thermobar rigid tube warm edge spacer is also available.

Low-e coated glass

Low-e glass means low emissivity glass. It differs from normal float glass in that one side of the glass has a special metal coating, technically known as a low emissivity, or Low-e coating. All energy efficient windows must contain a Low-e glass.

Secondary Sealant

Edge sealants bond to the spacer bar and seal the edge of the sealed unit from moisture ingress and protect the unit from gasses passing out of and into the internal unit construction. Hot Melt or Reactive Warm Melt Sealants are suitable for use with Thermoflex.

Gas Filling

The airspace between the glass panes is filled with an inert gas such as Argon. Units filled with an inert gas must meet the requirements to pass EN1279 part 3 standards for gas loss.
