Investors in People
Thermoseal Group is dedicated to staff and has invested a great deal of time and money into the training and development of employees to achieve its ‘Investors in People’ status.
What is Investors in People?
It is the UK national standard which sets out a level of good practice for improving an organization’s performance through its people. It seeks to secure good business performance and competitive advantage through a planned approach to setting and communicating business goals and developing people to meet those goals.
Why are we involved?
All employees from the shop floor to the boardroom must do a good job and produce quality work. We expect a lot from our staff so implementing Investors in People is just one of the ways that we invest in them. It helps employees to develop their potential, improve their skills and gain greater job satisfaction
We see people as a priority and of great importance to our business. Without our strong team, we couldn’t provide our goods or service to customers and we wouldn’t have achieved the status that we’ve achieved today. We are dedicated to our staff who are all made aware of specific quality requirements by issue of documentation relevant to their individual responsibilities within the quality system. We operate some Six Sigma and Kaizen methods of continuous improvement in manufacturing. All staff are trained and developed in line with this. We received a G15 Award for ‘Training and Development Initiative of the Year’ in recognition of this.
Many of our team have been working for Thermoseal Group for over 10 years. We believe that it’s because they enjoy working for a relaxed and friendly business which is growing fast, so there is plenty of opportunity for development.
We look for the right people who work together to achieve the same goals – to keep customers happy!
